Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a journalist and editor with expertise in new editorial strategies, social media, and website management. Currently I’m overseeing a new initiative at Boston.com, part of Boston Globe Media Partners, as deputy editor of Community.
For two years until its closure, I was the digital editor for The Improper Bostonian, a lifestyle magazine with a 28-year history covering food, arts, culture, and the latest events across the city. I managed The Improper’s web content, newsletters, and social channels. I also wrote about Boston’s only salt cave yoga, eating my way through Singapore, George Foreman III’s vision for success, and what it takes to become an astronaut.
Prior to my work in journalism, I spent the better part of a decade working in another passion: social enterprise and impact investing.
